umur itu hanya sekadar nombor

Refer to the Islamic calendar in Hijrah, I was born in 24 Ramadhan 1400, but in Christian (Masihi) calendar I was delivered to the world on 6 August 1980. I calculated my age in Islamic calendar, my age is 30, but in Masihi I am 29 yrs. So if anybody ask me the regular question like "how are you?"...I will ask them back like this:

"Nak tau umur saya dalam bulan Islam ke bulan omputih?"

"Kalau dalam bulan Islam umur saya 30 (rasa mcm dah tua sangat)"

"Kalau dalam bulan omputih umur saya muda setahun, 29..(rasa muda sket).."

Basically we're celebrate our birthday in Masihi calendar, but we are forgot about the Islamic calendar. Kalau ikutkan kiraan dalam bulan Islam lah yg paling tepat, even nak kira putaran haid (untuk perempuan saja ye..) pun better follow kiraan ikut kalendar Islam. Sebab itu kita selalu pelik kenapa putaran haid kita selalu berbeza, kejap kena awal bulan, kejap kena pertengahan bulan, bulan depan kena akhir bulan pulak. So untuk menghilangkan rasa pelik itu ada bagusnya kita kira ikut kalendar Islam lah.

I did it and it's true. Putaran haid kita akan berlaku setiap 28 hari, jika kita terlewat atau tercepat sehari dua itu normal. Tapi kalau terlewat sangat thats means we have a problem and go to see a doctor!

When I was converted my birthday to Islamic calendar, I know that I was born in Ramadhan. It's really suprise. Rupanya aku lahir bulan puasa, hari rabu. So I will celebrate my birthday on 6 August and then the second time on 14 September this year. Walla...
